Biography
Formed in 1999, the Kurt Jorgensen Band continually
turns audiences into fans with their lush three part
harmonies, explosive energy, and beautifully crafted
songs. Seamlessly moving from blues to soulful gospel
to American rock. KJB plays to audiences throughout
the Midwest and nationally. Timeless themes mesh with
homespun spirituality to create classic verse that complement
the band s incredible musical artistry. It comes
as no surprise that the band was awarded six Minnesota
Music awards in 2002, and seven in 2003.
American Bordeaux, KJB s award-winning first
album release, is a mixture of rock, blues and a touch
of old-style gospel. Like a good Bordeaux wine, a variety
of complex flavors are blended together to form the
band s unique brand of American soul.
Howling At The Pal Moon takes you on a sensual journey
of energy, longing, and discovery. From the festive
beat of Let It Roll to the reflective ballad, So Mucn
In Vain, KJB once again creates a harmonious marriage
of rhythmic soul and rock.
